SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park) has released the following statement in response to Governor Gavin Newsom’s revised Budget proposal:
“Today’s May Revision proposal makes clear just how significantly the Trump administration's chaos and incompetence have negatively impacted our economy in California and our state budget for next year. California’s business community is paralyzed by the uncertainty of Trump’s erratic decision making, which has frozen business investment, and tanked foreign tourism in our state. These federal policies will directly impact California’s economy and our tax revenues, resulting in many programs and resources that Californians depend on being at risk. California is prepared to defend its economy and the economic freedom of all, and I am committed to working with my colleagues in the Legislature to protect the progress we have made for all Californians.”
