Not a week goes by that I don’t read an article about California’s housing affordability crisis and the impact it is having on my constituents, on California’s economy, and on our environment. That's why I held a town hall to close out Affordable Housing Month in May and to discuss how we got into this crisis in the first place, the impact it’s having on our most vulnerable friends and neighbors, and what you can do to help. In partnership with State Senator Josh Becker, I cohosted a Community Meeting on the status of the El Camino Real roadway improvements and rehabilitation project. We were joined by city staff from Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Los Altos, along with over 100 residents in the audience. It was an important opportunity to have a robust public discussion with Caltrans about this critical project.
