Given recent news from several insurance providers about changes in their policy writing for home insurance in California, I invite you to a virtual Insurance Town Hall to share what constituents of AD-23 are experiencing and what concerns they have on local insurance matters and changes in the California insurance marketplace.
I will be joined by California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara and other invited guests to discuss this important issue. Click the RSVP link above to receive the webinar link on the day of the event.
Gun violence has reached epidemic proportions in the United States. Over 1 million Americans have been shot in the past decade according to the Giffords Law Center, and it's getting worse. In 2021, gun deaths reached their highest level in at least 40 years, with 48,830 deaths that year alone. This epidemic recently hit our districts when farmworkers in Half Moon Bay were shot in January, killing seven and injuring an eighth. That's why we are hosting a joint virtual town hall on The US Gun Violence Epidemic: What Can California Do?
I would like to cordially invite you to attend my district office open house. Guests are encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and raise concerns about community and legislative matters. Refreshments will be provided (at no taxpayer expense) and parking is available onsite. Please RSVP below.
You have the right to make decisions about your care, but making a plan can be complicated. A plan allows you to take charge of the kind of care you want. The seminar will include:
Are you a young person with ideas for new laws? Do you have a vision for the future of your state? Are there policies that you agree or disagree with? Or do you know a young person with something to say?
I am personally inviting youth in the 24th Assembly District - from high school through college - to attend a virtual Youth Town Hall on Wednesday, October 26. Participants will get to share their perspectives and priorities for California directly with me, their State Assemblymember.

You’re invited to participate in my Menlo Park, East Palo Alto, and North Fair Oaks Community Coffee. We will be joined by my colleague, Assembly Speaker pro Tem Kevin Mullin, to provide brief community and legislative updates. I look forward to hearing more about issues uniquely important to you.
